Mad Tea Parties Retailer

Das Pinke Zimmer
New Mad Tea Parties Retailer!

With good news I'm coming on today and I'm really exited to let you finally know!
Almost three weeks ago Heike and Sarah of "Das Pinke Zimmer" (the pink room) in Düsseldorf (Germany) asked me for a couple of items for their boutique.
The two girls are designing and sewing dresses and I just love their style!
Since their business grew they decided to move into a bigger location and increase the product range.

I'm happy that Heike and Sarah decided to ask me for bags, purses and necklaces! So there's the first retailer of my products in Germany. :)
If you live close to Düsseldorf you might would like to visit the re-opening party of "Das Pinke Zimmer" on Saturday, 14th of July. (More infos here)

I'll come up with a couple of new designs and fabrics, so it'll really be worth it to visit. :)

Have a great weekend with much love,
Dina

Baroque Console

Bonjour mes amis,

it seems like I just won't get back into regular daily routine. That's ok for me but I miss blogging a lot!
For today I would like to show off with my newest darling furniture: my baroque console.

Some of you might remember that I got it waaay back in time... :D ...at Mösi's flea market, where it looked like this:

I had a hard time deciding if it should stay just the way it was, or if it should get a new color...and if so, which one.
I clinched it would be plain ASCP old white, that's it.
Here we go :)

Tadaaaaaaa!

Ya know, I'm proud! :D
If you live nearby and if you're interested in possessing this little piece, it is for sale.

Much love and have a great weekend!
Dina

Sweets for my Sweet

Here is something very quick and easy but with a great effect.
I got this beautiful cookie jar (for a forth of it's original price!) and just played around.
On Karen's Blog (The Graphics Fairy) you can find a lot of great images and typographies that will fit this purpose. I simply printed a great "Chocolat" image with frame on marbled, brown paper, ripped off the excess around the image and used Mod Podge to glue the image onto the clean glass jar.
I used out door Mod Podge, so the jar can be cleaned with water without the image coming off. But you still have to be careful.
While getting wet the glued area can get white. Just let it dry. I avoid rubbing or drying with a dish towel.

Just brush some Mod Podge on the backside of the image, place it on your jar, press out the bubbles and cover the image and about an inch around it with another two to three layers of MP. This way the paper is protected.
Also try out other materials than glass....

Have fun! ;)

Much love,
Dina

Vintage Treasures and two Boxes

To get back into blogging I'd first like to share something fun...my latest and some of the greatest vintage treasures I've found so far.
As always I've found them at Mösi's and I got them for quite a while now, but never showed them off.
So here they are:

And since my beloved father in law also was a collector of vintage treasures, I got this breathtaking old wooden frame of him.

There is another thing I want to show off with and I hope you'll like it ;)
Last year I stumbled over two old boxes for sewing notions (I'm not quite sure if this is the right word for it...?), dated between late 1800 and early 1900. They where in good shape and I couldn't resist.

A pot of ASCP graphite was waiting and calling my name, so I finally gave in and used it gutsy on the bigger one of the boxes. The smaller one I painted in old ochre.

The light one is already sold but the graphite box is available on my DaWanda Shop.

And yeah, it feels good to be back on track!! ;)
Much love,
Dina

What a month! So many ideas!

Hello fair Ladies!
So much time went by since my last post and I wonder where it went, because I haven't seen it...
There are a lot of news and some changes too but I will just post the important ones and hope I won't forget to mention anything!
I finally managed it to make the first part of my Dark Edition which I planned on for such a long time.
The full Collection is for sale in my shops on DaWanda and Guzuu.

Actually I wanted to start right on with the second part of it, which will rather be a little more of the romantic gothic style, but I was struggling and felt that I'm kind of full of this direction for a while.
So I started on another vintage collection and just came up with whatever I felt drawn to.
And this is it. They are also available on DaWanda and soon on Guzuu too. Gotta be quick this time because some of these pieces I'll not reproduce.

And here are the latest pieces I came up with.
Next to these I felt that I will have to reorganize my Home Page again because of all of these directions my mind is flowing in...

I'll soon be back for more because you know, there is some pretty furniture waiting to be redone, a lot of antique things need a new home and my mind is flowing and flowing...
And there are so many great blogs of yours to visit too!

Much love!
Dina
